About Us

Learn more about the foundation, purpose, and geographic focus of Konektee.

Foundation

Konektee was established to bridge critical gaps in the support system for Nepali migrants, addressing the risks they face before, during, and after their migration journeys. The organization emerged in response to urgent issues such as insufficient pre-departure orientation, lack of accessible mental health support, and the complex challenges encountered by returnees as they reintegrate into society.

Purpose

Konektee is dedicated to tackling the multifaceted challenges of migration—from the mental health struggles experienced abroad to the difficulties of reintegration at home, and the heightened risk of remigration when reintegration is unsuccessful. Our mission is to build a comprehensive support system and safety net that empowers migrants and their families at every stage of their journey.

Geographic Focus

Our work is primarily rooted in Nepal, with particular emphasis on Karnali Province for our reskilling and reintegration programs, as well as other regions with high rates of migration. For online counselling and psychosocial support, geographic boundaries do not apply. Our services extend globally, ensuring that Nepali migrants and their families can access the support they need—no matter where they are.
